Alton Towers UK Trivia

When I thought about what to write about this week, I remembered my recent visit to Alton towers with my three friends. We went on almost all of the thrill rides and concluded Air and Oblivion were the best. But I then looked on the website and found some rather shocking information! Here they are:

• Nemesis has greater G-Forces than a space shuttle launch!
• The feared drop of Oblivion isn't simply free fall, it's free fall for 50 metres!
• The amazing Rita Queen of Speed catapults you to 100km/s in 2.5 seconds!
• The seats in Hex don't actually rotate 360 degrees it's the room that rotates. (My friend proved this by dropping a piece of paper when we were supposedly upside down. The paper dropped 'up' towards the seats when it should have fallen 'down' towards the floor.)

There's a couple of facts about the amazing Alton Towers in the UK. If you have not visited this resort, then allow me to say, you haven't lived.

<--- Air one of the best (if not the all time best)  rides.
